Wall Walky Thingy
A downloadable game for Windows
Looking for some feedback on this little game prototype. You can walk on the walls and ceiling (the areas where you can do this are tinted black) but if you stay up there for too long you will run out of magnetism, so you need to collect magnet packs i spread across the arena. And the only place you can get health is the ceiling.
A few minor details, the revolver is a 1 hit ko but takes a while to reload, the rifle can reload quick but takes more effort to kill an enemy and the shotgun never has to reload but is only viable at close range. I forgot to remove this but you can right click on a magnetizable surface (indicated by the crosshair spinning or it being tinted black) to flip to it.
I'm going to include a credits.txt sort of thing in the zip folder so if your interested in the creator of the music or what i used to piece together the sounds check that out.

Heyo!
First off, for your first project this is fantastic, like seriously!
not only did you finish a game (more than most people will ever do), you made a game with AI and an interesting wall walking system!
Here's a few things that can take this from good to great:
1. Some kind of tutorial would be nice. I know this is a prototype, but something to (not text please) to introduce me to each mechanic -shooting, enemies, wall walking, pick ups. especially the other guns, I didn't know there were more than one.
2. Personally I think the sensitivity is to high, it can of course be reset in the menu however it set back to the default when you die (I assume you're reloading the scene upon death and the sensitivity number is just reset with everything else. You can just have the sensitivity number stored in a different script that doesn't get reloaded).
3. The gun kickback feels very odd and disorienting, I'm not sure why, I haven't done anything similar yet. But it makes it rather hard to hit if you missed the first shot.
4.Player feedback. food steps, and a noise when you shoot would help the game feel more alive
5. Wall walking - It might just be the lack of tutorial but I found the wall walking to be kinda confusing in how it worked and the way it worked, it was disorienting. Perhaps more visual distinction in the level could help?
But all in all, you made a REALLY cool first game!
Keep up the good work
Keep finishing games!

Thanks for the advice man! There is sound, but it must be too quiet. I leave my computers sound on full and use the volume wheel on my headset so that must be whats causing the silence. That's ok though, i was thinking about making some sort of volume control script anyway
Huh. I heard the enemies shoot but nothing from me, weird
